There are plenty of places to visit and things to do.

The 7/11 mini store is across the road and has most essential items, 

There are several coffee places, small restaurants, local markets and places nearby worth exploring.

Andreas'
An excellent 5 star Italian restaurant, un pretentious.
Saturday's are fun when Andreas shows youngsters how to make their own pizza, starts 12 midday.
(5 minutes on the green minibus, towards town) 

Corner coffee'  directly across the road is nice, Peter speaks English fluently having lived in the U.S for many years, good coffee and light snacks.

Tamarind Market'  is a must... 
Just past the Amari hotel open during early evening from Thursday / Friday through Sunday. 
Find a table then visit the many food stalls, everything is very reasonably priced and
there is often live music.

We like Bello Dolce Ice cream which is made locally, see their tuk tuk in the market and at locations all over town.

Cicada Market & Arts Center' You can walk to the Cicada Market & arts center,
You'll find many local arts and crafts available, be prepared to negotiate the price.
Feast Thailand offer an interesting review 
(Turn right, 7-8 minutes walk)

Feast Thailand'  offer tours of some of the less well known Thai eateries around Huahin combined with a touch of Thai culture. Not expensive and a terrific experience.

Take Five' 
Bar and lounge opposite the Amari Hotel is worth a visit for it's excellent Indian food, with sport shown on large screens and live music, it's family friendly and a good place to meet local expats. 
Well worth asking about their weekly buffet.
The owner 'Sam also arranges local golf events.
